Bern, June 3, 2026

The second SRG trend survey by GfS Bern shows that the SVP initiative against a "10-million Switzerland" is tipping to No with 52 percent rejection versus 45 percent approval, as revealed by the data published on Wednesday.

Mood shifts significantly

The mood before the vote on June 14, 2026, has therefore shifted noticeably in favor of the opponents compared to the first wave, which still showed a tie. Only 3 percent of respondents are undecided, according to GfS Bern, giving the initiative's opponents a comfortable starting position. The shift is largely driven by sympathizers of the Center and FDP, whose rejection has increased significantly recently.
